The Chapel Street Medical Centre was established in 1980 by Dr Michael Battat Specialist GP. We are a small, friendly, family practice. We welcome you and will do our utmost to ensure your consultation is a positive one, so that you would feel happy about returning and recommending our services to others. We have an on-going commitment to all aspects of up to the minute general practice, preventative medicine and medical education.

We BULK BILL under 16 and holders of HEALTH CARE and PENSION cards. For fee paying patients we can process your Medicare Rebate on site. DVA fully accepted.
You will always see the same GP Dr Michael Battat to ensure personalised, continuity of care. He is patient, genuinely caring and he listens. You may ring him any time with queries.
You will be contacted promptly in the event of any urgent test results. Non urgent test results may be discussed and explained at your next appointment or if there is no need for you to come in personally, via Telehealth.
We have a patient recall system (at your consent) for medically indicated routine follow ups.
Longer consultations available on request or as required and you are welcome to have one or more people with you during your consultation.
We provide GP Care Plans for Medicare subsidised allied health sessions and provide all recommended Health Assessments.
ON SITE PODIATRIST
We ensure strict confidentiality and privacy. However, you may access your medical records either in person by seeing the doctor or by forwarding your written and signed authorisation.
We generally work by appointment so you are not kept waiting but we always fit in urgent presentations.
On-site parking at rear. Convenient location close to tram and train. Disabled access at rear.
